Scoring rules
How predictions, odds, and bonus points turn into the leaderboard.
Pick the final score before kickoff. Once the official result is set, the leaderboard awards odds-based base points for correct winners, then adds score-shape bonuses.
Total points = base points + bonus points.
A correct winner earns 5-20 base points. Picking a bigger underdog is worth more: probabilities at or below 15% score 20, probabilities at or above 90% score 5, and values in between are rounded linearly.
If odds were not synced for that match, a correct winner falls back to 5 base points.
If the predicted winner is wrong, base points are 0. Draw predictions currently do not earn odds-based winner points.
Each match stays editable until kickoff. After kickoff, that prediction is locked.
Points appear after an admin syncs or saves the match result. Scores are calculated from the leaderboard view, so changing scoring settings or results recalculates completed matches on read.
The score line is compared against the match goals. If the match is decided on penalties, the penalty shootout decides the winner for correct-winner scoring and can add the penalty bonus.
Admins sync odds snapshots before matches. The app converts bookmaker decimal odds into fair home/draw/away probabilities and uses the home or away probability for the team you picked to win.
